Simplicity in the Figure

Why do I love to Draw the Human Form?

Ever since my Art school days, I have been preoccupied with the human form. There was just something so serene and beautiful about the human form, I kept coming back to it. I loved toying with the idea of using really abstracted techniques to make a highly representational image. I think that’s why I was attracted to Graphic Drawing. I am intrigued by the undulating shadows and lines of the female nude. My signature style allows for gentle and meandering contour lines wrapping the figure in a warmth of colour and form, creating a really inspiring way of viewing the human figure.

My nudes are far from vulgar or rude, rather they as strong and empowered in their stance. My women are treated with a caring eye and appear gentle yet strong. Many of these pieces are rendered digitally, while some are painted on timber panel with oil paint.
