Saabira Razac Artworks hosts Private Tutoring  as well as Workshops with Art Groups across the Geelong and SurfCoast Region which focus on holistic art training and assisting you in moulding your own talent and encouraging you to create a vibrant portfolio of your own. These sessions are ongoing and Saabira will be taking new students at this time.

Painting Suite

Portraiture with Oil Paint

Start Date: Thursday November 9th, 2017.
Time: 10am-1pm
Cost: $40 per session (4-sessions commitment)
Location: Private Property, 3/141 Grove Road, Grovedale, VIC

Students will immerse themselves into the world of Portraiture with Oil Paints. We will learn about the history of Portraiture as well as how to properly render the face with drawing and oil painting. Our mission is to learn and apply proper drawing, painting and colour techniques and use them to enhance your own personal Artistic Style. Students will walk away with an in-depth understanding of the painting process as well as design, plan and create artwork for themselves.

This is an ongoing tutorial held once a week (Thursdays) beginning November 9th, 2017.

Students will work with Oil Paint and create beautiful hand paintings that encompass a range of styles and techniques focussing on rendering the Human Face. These classes are fun, relaxing and enjoyable and students walk away with confidence in their Art.

On your 1st Session, you will need to bring:

  • A few varying sized Paint Brushes (Size 5 and smaller)
  • An A3 Sketchbook, Unlined (Eg: Canvas/Watercolour/Como Pad)
  • No bigger than an A4 Sketchbook for Journalling and note taking
  • A Mixing Plate (this can be a round white ceramic dessert/small Dinner Plate)
  • A Pencil

At the 1st session, all oil paint materials will be provided. Here after you will be required to bring along your own Oil paints, mixes and cleaners. No Turpentines or other toxic materials will be used in class. Upon your 1st session, Instructor will advise on what materials to purchase.

Techniques are buildable and ongoing, therefore a 4-session commitment is requested so that the student gains the most out of these classes. Please contact Saabira via email, Facebook or phone to book your spot.


Drawing Suite

Human Form: The Face

Start Date: Saturdays  continuing from October 28th 2017.
Time: 9am-12noon
Cost: $40 per Session (4-sessions commitment)
Location: Private Property, 3/141 Grove Road, Grovedale, VIC

This interesting course will focus on drawing the Human form, presently focussing on the Face. You will learn about proportion, lighting and shadow, composition as well as extensive techniques with graphite and charcoal. Class will be structured around a weekly worksheet where techniques will be demoed and explained followed by prolonged drawing periods, practising the techniques. You will be working with photography as well as hand sketches to assist in harnessing these interesting techniques.

This class is geared towards the student who is interested in prolonged drawing practice as well as learning the core concepts of  rendering the human form. Classes are kept small so as to ensure one on one attention is given.

This is an ongoing tutorial held once a week (Saturdays) taking new students ongoing from October 28th 2017.

On your 1st Session, you will need to bring:

  • Graphite Pencils (varying grades ranging from HB, B’s and H’s)
  • An A3 Sketchbook, Unlined (Bright White Paper, some tooth is fine. Eg: Como Pad/Charcoal Pad)
  • Kneadable Eraser (Artist Eraser)
