BEGINNINGS

HAND POURED ALCOHOL INKS ON YUPO PAPER

“BEGINNINGS” is a juicy, wet looking expression of mahogany, burnt tones and gold.

This painting evokes a raw sense of emergence and growth. A wet, reddish seam line, thin yet deep, moves from the centre out. The atmospheric sprays of glistening gold and brass dissolve towards the edges, vanishing into nothingness.

Textural elements move from thick gel like imagery to flowing washes of rust and gold. An unusual combination of soft, thick, thin and deep all culminate to create this Ink Expression, BEGINNINGS.
