If you are new to our little corner of the internet, welcome. My name is Saabira; I am the Owner, Artist and Instructor here at SRA. I have been teaching adults Art since 2013 and it has been an utter joy to watch my students create Art they never thought possible. Here at SRA we love all things Art. We enjoy making, talking and looking at amazing Art. As your Instructor, I spend a lot of time creating a classroom setting that is filled with Art history and Art making techniques that make Art approachable and attainable for everyone.

Art making quite often, is a very personal practise. I speak from experience when I say that it can be scary to have strangers look upon your Art and make assumptions. Here at SRA we try to take that fear away. My goal is for everyone in our classes to feel at ease and comfortable to express themselves. With only 6 persons per session, students gain a lot of one-on-one time with the me, resulting in learning that is extremely informative yet informal. Students have the opportunity to try new techniques and see their own ideas flourish and materialise before them. Here, we make Art fun, educational and expressive.

SRA has big plans for 2020. I have released 3 new groups of studio style classes that tackle everything from drawing to painting to design. In these in-person classes you will learn from a beginner’s perspective the fundamentals of good Art making practises. Students have the opportunity to try new materials and gain hands-on experience working like an Artist.

If you are a bit more advanced, not to worry, I do offer a few intermediate classes as well. SRA also offers courses with duplicate sessions to allow for those who work daily to still join in on the fun. Be sure to check our catalog of courses here on our site to select a class and session that works best for you.

Online courses coming soon

We are diligently working to create some fun and enjoyable online courses for those of you who live further a field and can’t make it to one of my in-person classes. These courses shed light on simple Art techniques that everyone should know when pursuing Art.
